More than Six months ago, the Municipality of Tanauan Leyte suffered greatly from the wrath of typhoon Yolanda. The storm claimed the lives of over 1200 people and left thousands more homeless and distraught. With the difficult tasks of rebuilding families and starting anew, innocent school children lost classrooms and eventually missed out classes for the remainder of the school year. On line job portal, jobsDB Philippines, in partnership with the Department of Education, ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya, ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC), and the Manila Bulletin, is scheduled to travel to the province of Leyte this June to complete its backpack to school campaign- a drive aimed at helping elementary school children get ready to go back to school and “rewrite” their future.
