ONE CHAMPIONSHIP ADDS TWO MUAY THAI STARS TO GROWING ONE SUPER SERIES ROSTER

13 September 2018 – Singapore: The largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), has bolstered its burgeoning roster of world-class athletes with the acquisition of renowned Muay Thai champions Charlie Peters and Liam Harrison. Both men will be part of the highly-acclaimed ONE Super Series, which was launched by ONE Championship last April to showcase the purest forms of world-class striking and its adrenaline-pumping action on the world’s biggest and most prestigious stage of competition.

Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, stated: “Asia has been the home of martial arts for the past 5,000 years. It is our greatest cultural treasure. Here at ONE Championship, it is our mission to deliver an authentic martial arts experience to fans all across the globe, and part of this involves signing only the best in talent. I am pleased to announce the signing of Muay Thai superstars Charlie Peters and Liam Harrison. I can’t wait to see them compete on the ONE Super Series stage.”

28-year-old Charlie Peters is one of the most recognizable names in the well-entrenched British kickboxing circuit, and is now rated as the best pound-for-pound kickboxer in the United Kingdom by most ringside observers. Peters has built a reputation as being an explosive striker with stunning knockout power, capturing several coveted titles such as the MTGP World Championship. After traveling all over the world in countries such as the United States, China, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, and Thailand, and racking up nearly 70 professional bouts, Peters directs his career path to ONE Super Series.

A proud product of the flourishing Muay Thai scene in the United Kingdom, Liam “The Hitman” Harrison has become one of the country’s most well-respected kickboxing competitors. Training out of Bad Company in Leeds, England, Harrison has attained numerous accolades in the sport, including the WBC Muay Thai Welterweight World Championship, the WMC Lightweight World Championship, and the Kombat League World Championship. Having 109 professional bouts under his belt, Harrison looks to amplify his glowing repertoire as a global kickboxing superstar by joining ONE Super Series.
