Make your DIY Face Shield in 6 Easy Steps

Tired of watching K-Drama on Netflix,  it's high time to make use of our time and help the frontliners by giving them their need of protection shield  which is economical and easy to  assemble during this community quarantine period. Be a good help and use our time wisely by making DIY face shields.

I found this interesting idea from the Facebook Page of Marcventures Mining and Development Corporation.

The Safety and Health Department of MMDC shared how they created face shields for their staff, using available office supplies.

Here are the materials you will need:

Clear plastic sheet/PVC Cover
Recycled hard hat harness
Single-hole puncher
Scissors
Stapler
Pen

Here’s the step-by-step procedure in making a face shield:

Step 1: Prepare all the needed materials.

Step 2: Mark the PVC Cover. Use pen to mark holes on the PVC cover to be aligned to holes of hard hat harness. You may use the harness as guide for holes.

Step 3: Punch holes. Use single-hole puncher to punch holes.

Step 4: Attached PVC Cover to hard har harness. Secure the holes to firmly attach.

Step 5: Cut the PVC Cover edges. Use scissors to cut the edges

Step 6: Staple sides to secure the fit. Firmly secure side of PVC Cover to the harness.

The finished product. Disinfect it before use.

Of course, do not forget to practice social distancing like the employees of MMDC at their mine site!
