-Feb. 13 Game Includes 10 Players Each from U.S. and International Ranks-

NEW YORK, Jan. 21, 2015 – The BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge at NBA All-Star 2015 in New York City will feature a new format that pits first- and second-year NBA players from the United States against first- and second-year NBA players from around the world, the NBA announced today.

The NBA’s annual showcase of premier first- and second-year players is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 13, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. TNT will televise the 21st BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge at 9 p.m. ET as part of Turner Sports' 30th year of NBA All-Star coverage. BBVA Compass is the official bank of the NBA in the United States and maintains its role as title partner for the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge.

The league’s assistant coaches will select 10 U.S. players and 10 international players for the game, with one ballot for each of the NBA’s 30 teams. Both 10-man rosters will include four guards, four frontcourt players and two players regardless of position. Each team will also feature a minimum of three first-year players and three second-year players among its 10 spots.

The head coaches for each team will be an assistant from the 2015 NBA All-Star Game coaching staffs. The Eastern Conference and Western Conference All-Star Game coaches will be determined by the best record in the conference through games played on Sunday, Feb. 1.

A record 101 international players from 37 countries and territories were on opening-night rosters for the 2014-15 season, more than double the amount from 2000-01 (45 international players) and nearly five times as many as in 1990-91 (21). Canada boasts a league-high total of six international first- and second-year players, half of the record 12 Canadians in the NBA this season, including the No. 1 overall picks in each of the last two NBA Drafts. Australia has a combined four international first- and second-year players, half of the record eight Australians in the NBA this season.

NBA All-Star 2015 will bring together some of the most talented and passionate players in the league’s history for a global celebration of the game. In addition to the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge, TNT will also air State Farm All-Star Saturday Night on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Barclays Center and the 64th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 15, at Madison Square Garden. Other events at Barclays Center include the NBA Development League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire and the NBA Development League Dream Factory presented by Boost Mobile, both airing Sunday on NBA TV. Madison Square Garden will host Friday night’s ESPN-televised Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.

Cement Firms help make Roads Safer

   Photo from

Manila, Philippines. January 21, 2015 – Out of the 3,000 road accidents the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) recorded for the first two months of 2014, alone almost 17% or 530 involved trucks. Knowing such accidents may have been prevented, the Cement Manufacturers’ Association of the Philippines (CeMAP), the organization of local cement producers, CeMAP, held its 3rd annual summit entitled “Road Safety: Staying on the Right Track” in Cebu City, recently.

The conference discussed the current best practices in road transportation management. CeMAP President Ernesto Ordoñez shares, “Over 55,000 tons of cement products are transported along our roads every day. With that much exposure on the road, we must ensure that our people and everyone else will always be on the safe side every inch of the way.”

With risks involved during transport, local cement firms employ various programs like journey and fatigue management for drivers. The companies strictly monitor and control their drivers’ working hours, offer regular health checks and drug tests, implement proper diet and exercise programs, and provide rest facilities among others.  Competency testing, personnel qualification and training, regular maintenance check of transport vehicles, and emergency preparedness and response training are likewise done to ensure safety on the road.

The Cream Factory Bath & Body Creations

tcf new logo

If you're not smiling after a hot shower in the New Year, then it's time to ditch the boring soap you've been using and switch to something that your skin would thank you for later.

The Cream Factory is an exciting and new US brand of bath and body creations. The Cream Factory, the first soft soap in the world that combines the goodness and skin benefits of Netherlands goat milk and 100% active botanical ingredients sourced from around the world, is so good on your skin you're going to want to take a bath again and again. Friendly warning: this stuff can get addicting, and the number of “addicts” is rising!

A look at the 12 variants of The Cream Factory bath creams and scrubs and you'd think you're reading the dessert menu from a restaurant. In a way, you are – “dessert for your skin” – because most of the active botanical ingredients are, in fact, edible. There are variants that feature Honey, Seaweed, Almond, Açaí Berry, Avocado, Cinnamon, and Yogurt. Yum!

“We want people to change the way they take a bath and think about baths. We want them to step out of the shower and feel good about themselves. When you feel good about yourself, chances are you're going to have a much better day overall,” said Ched Dayot, the “executioner” (which is a fancy way of saying “product manager and brand ambassador”) of Because, Inc., the company that imports The Cream Factory into the Philippines.

What's great about The Cream Factory is that you can use one variant one day and another the next. Add the equally amazing and award-winning body scrubs and you'd find yourself spending so much more time in the bath. Customers report it is like having a spa treatment in the comfort and convenience of their own home – and they can do it every day!

“At Because, we want to celebrate the rapidly changing lifestyle of women. People are so much more sophisticated nowadays, and better informed about the good and bad ingredients in the products they use. And this is why we are confident they will love The Cream Factory,” said Dayot.

The Cream Factory is a brand of soft soap and body scrub from the USA. In late 2013, Because launched the products in the country, making the Philippines the first country to carry the brand outside the US. The Cream Factory has been very well-received by the beauty industry and consumers alike – a quick Internet search will reveal countless reviews from excited industry bloggers and satisfied and happy consumers who have joined the #BathRevolution, and changed the way they think about baths.

Dayot sees huge potential for the brand. A visit to the beauty section in any supermarket will tell you that some 70 percent of soaps are what would be considered “hard soaps”, or soap bars. In more developed markets, “soft soap” rules. The Philippines is on the verge of change, and Dayot believes that the Philippines’ customer should start with the best soft soap available anywhere – The Cream Factory.

A 768-ml bottle of The Cream Factory bath cream soft soap retails at P699, while a 221-ml bottle is at P299. There are two types of goat milk and active botanical body scrubs as well: a deep cleaning “salty” scrub made with salt crystals, and a more gentle “creamy” scrub using walnut sprinkles to slough off dead skin. The Cream Factory’s Scrub-in-a-Tub (their cute-sounding scrub name) comes in huge and convenient flip-top jars. The “salty” scrub retails for P799, and the “creamy” scrub has a price tag of P599.

Want to be in the good books of your special someone this year? Then give the joy and fun of The Cream Factory to your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day! It’s a very special gift, your partner will love it (and love you for it), and trust us – you’ll both enjoy the immediate and amazing results when you change the way you think about baths and join the #BathRevolution.

Michael Keaton as “Riggan” in BIRDMAN. Photo by Atsushi Nishijima. Copyright © 2014 Twentieth Century Fox.

This year’s Best Actor at the Golden Globes was recently awarded to Michael Keaton for his portrayal as an aging actor bent on pushing further his feats by starring directing in a play in the dark comedy “Birdman.”

Keaton, who also played the iconic Dark Knight in previously released blockbuster “Batman” movies, flies and dares to fight all odds to prove himself worthy of acclaim in his winning performance in the highly-lauded and celebrated “Birdman” movie.

“Birdman,” directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu with whom he also co-wrote with Nicolás Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris, Jr. and Armando Bo was also awarded this year’s Best Screenplay for a motion picture at the Golden Globes.

In “Birdman,” Riggan Thomson (Michael Keaton) hopes that by spearheading an ambitious new Broadway play he will, among other things, revive his moribund career. In many ways, it is a deeply foolhardy move – but the former cinema superhero has high hopes that this creative gambit will legitimize him as an artist and prove to everyone – and himself – that he is not just a Hollywood has-been.

With the play’s opening night looming, Riggan’s lead actor is injured by a freak accident during rehearsals and needs to be replaced quickly. At the suggestion of lead actress Lesley (Naomi Watts) and the urging of his best friend and producer Jake (Zach Galifianakis), Riggan reluctantly hires Mike Shiner (Edward Norton) – a loose cannon who is guaranteed to sell tickets and get the play a rave review. As he preps for the stage debut, he must deal with his girlfriend and co-star Laura (Andrea Riseborough), his fresh-from-rehab daughter and personal assistant Sam (Emma Stone), as well as his ex-wife Sylvia (Amy Ryan), who appears every so often to check-in with the intent to stabilize things.

Iñárritu notes that elements of Riggan’s story resonated with him, particularly the ephemeral nature of success and the question of relevance. “I was interested in exploring the battles with the ego, the idea that no matter how successful you are, whether in money or recognition, it’s always an illusion. It’s temporary. When you are chasing the things you think you want and empower the people to validate you, when you finally get them, you soon find an impermanence in that joy.”

Keaton says of his character: “I just looked at Riggan as a person. However, being an actor – that’s a job that requires a specific type of personality. It’s already subject to extreme self-consciousness, ego, all that. And in this case, here’s a guy who has all those qualities run amok, to say the least.”

There is something tragic, and something funny, and something very real, and also something very surreal about it,” Iñárritu explains. “Birdman is Riggan’s super ego, and from Birdman’s perspective, Riggan has lost his mind by doing this play that is clearly beneath them. From Riggan’s perspective, it’s Birdman that has lost his mind. From the perspective of the era, both are irrelevant.”

Like all of Iñárritu’s films, “Birdman” takes an acute look at the human existence as seen through the characters, anchored by Riggan, but it walks a tonal tightrope between comedy and pathos, illusion and reality, allowing for multiple interpretations.

“Birdman” opens very soon this January nationwide in cinemas from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

Undisputedly the world’s most well-loved father and protector, the latest Liam Neeson (as Bryan Mills) starrer “Taken 3” from its highly successful franchise landed number one at the US  box-office this weekend at $40.4 million with his particular set of skills – love for family and love for hunting down those who tried to take his family.

liam neeson in TAKEN 3 (1)

“Taken “3 sees Bryan facing his biggest challenge ever, as he deals with the aftershocks of his ex-wife’s murder, while evading pursuit from several law enforcement agencies, hunting down the real killers, and most of all, protecting his daughter Kim. “What makes TAKEN 3 a quintessential Taken movie is that, at its heart, it’s still about Bryan Mills doing everything in his power to save his family,” says Neeson. “That’s why these films resonate with a global audience, because at their core, they are about the love and sanctity of family and the lengths we’ll go to protect that.”

Liam Neeson taken 3

Olivier Megaton’s return to the director’s chair for “Taken 3” was welcome news to the cast. “Olivier is phenomenally efficient and proficient with the camera. He always had multiple cameras working simultaneously, and that’s exciting,” says Liam Neeson. “He’s been able to not only maintain and expand upon Luc Besson’s vision, but bring his own unique touches to the franchise. He marries relentless action with true character and heart.”

Megaton was always on the move, which the cast recognized at the end of the shoot by gifting him with his own director’s chair–which he had never used during production. “I’d never even seen it before, and the chair was still in the plastic bag from the factory,” he remembers.

Megaton elected to shoot “Taken 3” on 35mm film with anamorphic lenses, eschewing the digital format preferred by most of today’s filmmakers. “Everybody wants to shoot digital today, but I decided to go back to something more organic and to shoot on film,” he explains. “Movies today are losing that special quality available only with film.”

Unlike the first two stories, “Taken 3” is set entirely in Los Angeles, giving the new film a very different look from its predecessors. “Everybody knows L.A., but seeing it through French eyes and a French sensibility is totally different. We choose different locations, and we shot the stunts differently,” notes Megaton.

“Taken 3” opens January 14 in the Philippines from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

Ther ebels yet the wittiest of teen spies are about to save the world in “Kingsman: The Secret Service” based upon the acclaimed comic book by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, directed by Matthew Vaughn (“Kick-Ass,” “X-Men First Class”) starring Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, Mark Strong, Taron Egerton and Sophie Cookson. “Kingsman: The Secret Service” tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.

When the father of five-year-old Gary “Eggsy” Price (Egerton) sacrifices his life in the line of duty during a classified military exercise, his family is given an unconventional medal – and a phone number they may use only once, should they need a favor of any kind. Seventeen years later, Eggsy is an unemployed school dropout living a dead-end existence in his mother’s flat. After he is arrested for joyriding, Eggsy uses the medal to secure his release from jail, and finds himself rescued by Harry Hart (Firth), an impeccably suave spy who owes Eggsy’s father his life.

Dismayed to learn of the path Eggsy has taken, yet impressed by his better qualities, Harry offers Eggsy the opportunity to turn his life around by trying out for a position with Harry’s employers: Kingsman, a top-secret independent intelligence organization. Eggsy must make it through the highly competitive and often perilous series of tests that each prospective new Kingsman agent must pass, while also dealing with the emotional struggle of being a social outcast in an environment where everyone else is well-educated, well-connected and well-mannered.

“The film is a blend of everything I learned from making Lock Stock, Snatch, and Layer Cake, which were gangster movies, as well as my comic book films Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class, notes director and co-writer Matthew Vaughn.

The concept for Kingsman: The Secret Service was born when Vaughn had a conversation “down the pub”with comic book author Mark Millar. They had successfully collaborated together on Kick-Ass and were talkingabout their love of the spy genre. “It was two fan boys letting rip and weirdly we’re in a position where the fantasycan become a reality. We talked about spy movies. I love genre movies. I’m an adult with a kid’s heart in so manyways. For me, the genre was defined by the Roger Moore James Bond films and movies like In Like Flint andTV shows The Man From U.N.C.L.E and The Persuaders. I also loved the Harry Palmer films,” Vaughn tells.

“Those are the movies that fueled my love for the spy genre when but over time they seemed to get moreand more serious and gritty. From the knee jerk reaction against the fun of Austin Power, you got Jason Bourne,Jack Bauer, and then Bond followed that route, leaving a hole in the market, as far as I’m concerned.”

Over the course of several more conversations Vaughn and Millar decided to develop the idea of anelite spy for the 21st century. “That begged the question, what is a modern gentleman spy? What would he belike?” he says.

Millar, with illustrator Dave Gibbons, began working on the graphic novel, The Secret Service, which waspublished in 2012. Meanwhile, Vaughn and his regular writing partner, Jane Goldman, were working on thescreenplay for Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Vaughn wanted his film to hark back to that golden age of spy thrillers – an action packed story, with humorin the right places, and featuring spectacular set piece sequences and vivid characters who inhabit a fully conceivedworld. As he says, “It’s all about emotion, humor and being wowed by spectacle.”

One of many standout action scenes feature Eggsy and his fellow Kingsman trainees submerged underwaterand was, Vaughn admits, a nightmare to film. “I’ve got to say that was one of the hardest days I’ve ever filmed inmy life. Filming underwater is an absolute nightmare, and filming underwater with ten actors is the stupidest bloodything. I remember thinking, ‘why the hell did I write this scene?’ I rewrote a lot of the scene on the day, after trying tofilm it for five hours. It was actually far more complicated, so I went, ‘Okay, we are simplifying this right now.’ But we gotit.”

Another remarkable sequence features Firth as Harry Hart in a mass fight inside a church. “It took six days tofilm that. It’s a floating camera, so it’s sort of hand- held, but it’s also got a rig on top of it so that it can go on abungee sort of rig, where it can go up and down, and follow the action.

Here’s the trailer link of the movie:

“It was very, very well planned out and we do everything before on video, so filming is actually probablythe easiest part of it. I have figured out every shot, that sort of action does not happen by making it up on theday. I had so much fun making this, and we challenged each other, and it was a real team effort, and it was fun.”

“Kingsman: The Secret Service” opens February 18 in theaters across the nation from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

 reese witherspoon stars in WILD
An Academy Award-winning actress with a string of iconic performances behind her, Reese Witherspoon takes on perhaps her most challenging role yet in “Wild” - based on the bestselling and strikingly honest memoir “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail” by author Cheryl Strayed.

While audiences will perhaps forever remember her as the charming lead of “Legally Blonde” - the film that first propelled her to stardom - or as the redoubtable winning performance as June Carter Cash in “Walk The Line,” now they will see her in a startling new light in “Wild.”

As Cheryl Strayed, a woman who sought to recover her life and discover herself by walking the thousand-mile Pacific Crest Tale, Witherspoon was required to take her most physically and emotionally demanding screen journey.

“Reese’s love for the book was so clear and deep, she really had a profound grasp on who this woman was. She was also up for an incredible challenge, ready to go completely out of her comfort zone. She came at it with a very moving humility. There was no ego, just a desire to get inside this woman alone,” director Jean-Marc Vallée shares. Witherspoon came at Cheryl as someone who takes a seemingly naïve, possibly even ridiculous, go at the Pacific Crest Trail because, no matter how far she has fallen in her life, deep down she still believes she can kick-start her own salvation.

There was little doubt that the role would bring with it extreme athletic demands as Cheryl navigates across rock, river, ice and snow. Witherspoon brought a love and respect for the outdoors that helped her to tackle them, but even so, playing Cheryl meant encountering the wild – in the harsh deserts, high mountains and also her own head – in all kinds of new ways.

“If I would have been a person who didn’t love the outdoors, this role would have been impossible,” she laughs. “As it was, it was extremely challenging on every level, and far more physically challenging than I ever anticipated. There was climbing up the side of a mountain and balancing in river crossings and marching through chest-deep snow and falling into a freezing river. I had no idea it was going to be as hard as it truly was. But it was also very, very rewarding.”

Many of those rewards came from moments that took Witherspoon into the darkest corners of her psyche. Shooting the moment that opens the film – when Cheryl disastrously loses her boot on a high pass – felt like approaching a major life crossroads to Witherspoon.

“I have to say the spot where we shot that scene is one of most beautiful places I've been in my life,” she recalls. “Being on the edge of that mountain while contemplating all that was happening to Cheryl in that instant was intensely emotional. It’s the first moment when she decides nothing is going to be able to tear her apart. It seems to her that the universe keeps trying to shred her to pieces. And now she decides she just absolutely will not let it.”

Here’s the trailer link of the movie  :

The heart-stirring vistas rife throughout the shoot were a constant inspiration for Witherspoon, and a reminder of why the untouched spaces of wilderness called so strongly to Cheryl, even at rock bottom. “It fills you up,” the actress says. “To see the incredible beauty of our world makes you believe everything might really be OK. I think that’s how Cheryl came to feel.”

Having Strayed herself on the set also helped. “She was a real touchstone for me,” Witherspoon explains. “Sometimes the only thing that gave me a toe-hold in a scene was looking over at Cheryl and seeing in her face that she lived through this. You see all that she’s been through in her eyes. And you hear it in her voice. And following that was the biggest gift to me as an actor.”

One of this year’s frontrunners for major film awards and crtitics’ top pick, “Wild opens February 4 in cinemas nationwide in the Philippines from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

“10 Kumainments” pushed in 17 Regions to combat Unhealthy Diet and Lifestyle

10 Kumainments (2)

It’s high time that people from our nation learned and know how to prevent sickness and diseases  by abiding such commands and the practical eating habit that we need to teach to our Children and Children’s children. And it is good that our government gives emphasis through various agencies and though some of our people needs nutritional help, I believe this should go hand in hand with this campaign.

After its successful launch in Metro Manila, the National Nutrition Council (NNC) pushes its“10 Kumainments” campaign to all 17 regions of the country, through the local government units (LGUs) as its drivers.

The campaign, which provides “the recommended guide” for Filipinos to obtain a healthy diet by following simple guidelines, has been translated into local dialects, including Cebuano and Ivatan. The NNC-ARMM(Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao) has even made a transliteration of the nutritional guidelines in Arabic and called it the Nutritional Guidelines for Muslim Filipinos, which cites teachings in the Qur’an, showing support for each of the guidelines.

The 10 Kumainments was launched last 23 October 2014 by the National Nutrition Council and has been widely publicized through well-placed TV and radio commercials in leading radio and television networks and local radio stations nationwide. Regional launch events were led by the NNC regional offices in key cities nationwide.

The program was launched to address the growing concern for the nutritional status of Filipinos, which has been compromised by either a lack or excess of food, unhealthy eating habits and the trend towards a sedentary lifestyle. These have, in turn, led to the rise of non-communicable diseases like cardiovascular diseases, cancer, respiratory diseases and diabetes.

“Filipinos love to eat, especially during the holiday season. That is why it is very important to remind Filipinos that they should not compromise their health while celebrating in countless office parties, family reunions and dining out opportunities this season,” said Assistant Secretary of Health Maria-Bernardita T. Flores, Executive Director of the NNC.

The NNC’s “10 Kumainments” were derived from the 10 Nutritional Guidelines for Filipinos (NGF)developed by aninter-agency Technical Working Group through the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology, and have been popularized this year with an easy-to-remember format and a more relatable approach. These are the primary recommendations for nutrition and healthy lifestyle in order to attain good health,” she continued.

The 10 Kumainments are simple, easy to follow and easy to remember. For example, Kumainment No. 1 states: “Kumain ng iba’t ibang pagkain” while Kumainment No. 3 states: “Kumain ng gulay at prutas araw-araw”.

The 10 Kumainments are like the Biblical 10 Commandments. Thus, a character was developed in the person of Moises Dalisay or “Mang Moi” who was molded after the Biblical Moses—who now promotes the 10 Kumainments in media and in communities.

The NNC plans to further push its nutritional awareness campaign by working together with various government agencies in 2015 for issuance of department circulars and memos to encourage the use of the nutritional guidelines. Restaurants, groceries, supermarkets, dining places and other public places will be included in the campaign since this is where people need to be reminded of pursuing healthy eating and an active lifestyle. Since a lot of Filipinos also live abroad, a more aggressive and extensive dissemination of the 10 “Kumainments” will be done through Philippine embassies and consulates and the Internet for wider reach.

“We encourage all Filipinos to follow the 10 Kumainments so that they can influence proper nutrition behaviours and to also be able to help reduce the risk to malnutrition and non-communicable diseases,” Flores said.

LIAM NEESON returns as Bryan Mills in TAKEN3

Like a big typhoon, the action never stops in the third instalment of the blockbuster franchise “Taken” that cemented Liam Neeson as cinema’s newest and most unexpected action hero. “Taken 3” brings Liam Neeson’s character Bryan Mills to the extreme as his particular set of skills is pushed to the edge when his reconciliation with his ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen) is tragically cut short when she is brutally murdered. Consumed with rage, and framed for the crime, he goes on the run to evade the relentless pursuit of the CIA, FBI and the police. For one last time, Mills must use his “particular set of skills,” to track down the real killers, exact his unique brand of justice, and protect the only thing that matters to him now – his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace).

The world will once again cheer and root for the overprotective father, Mills, whose skills, forged through years of covert ops – continue to be put to the test long after his retirement from the CIA. TAKEN 3 sees Bryan facing his biggest challenge ever, as he deals with the aftershocks of his ex-wife’s murder, while evading pursuit from several law enforcement agencies, hunting down the real killers, and most of all, protecting his daughter Kim.

Neeson elaborates on the films’ careful mix of action and drama: “Even though Bryan Mills is a guy with a ‘particular set of skills,’ he’s also a kind of everyman. People identify with his love of family. Parents will do anything for their kids and they see that in Bryan. For all his faults, he still is a very devoted father who’ll do anything for his child. But I think audiences also enjoy the fact that he bucks the system and doesn’t trust anyone in authority. And if he has to break the law, then he does.

“The underlying stories in the Taken films are solid,” Neeson continues. “We’ve tried to avoid doing anything in excess just to excite an audience. The triggers for that action have always been very strong. And it’s, of course, about Bryan Mills defending his family and protecting them, against all odds. You have that bedrock of a very stable relationship that’s being tested all the time. So once you have that base in place and audiences believe in that charge of love – especially between Bryan and his daughter Kim – you can take the action anywhere you want.”

Here’s the trailer link of this movie:

That being said, Neeson notes that he enjoys the films’ non-stop action and the physicality of the role of Bryan Mills. In terms of thrills, TAKEN 3 is the biggest Taken yet. Highlights include lightning-fast fight sequences, an incredible freeway chase – and the film’s overall relentless pacing.

“Making a movie is like solving a puzzle, like a Rubik’s cube,” adds director Olivier Megaton. “At first, you have no idea how to attack these things. You have to figure out every element on almost every shot. If you try to be too clever, it’s too complex. So you look for simpler solutions. But in the end, everything clicks.”

“Taken 3” opens Jauary 14 nationwide in cinemas across the Philippines from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 3Talented Australian actress Rebel Wilson, who gained worldwide attention in “Pitch Perfect” joins the stellar cast of “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb,” led by Ben Stiller as night security guard, Larry Daley. In this third, final and most exciting of the family films about the legendary exhibits at New York’s Museum of Natural History, trouble begins when the iconic figures from the past, which come to life each night, are malfunctioning and wreaking havoc. The magic has gone awry. Night security guard Larry Daley, played by Ben Stiller, has to take urgent action to save the lives of his historic friends. That means embarking on a trip to the British Museum in London.

The action shifts to The British Museum in London where Tilly (Wilson) is the night guard. Wilson’s character Tilly, the British Museum’s security guard falls for the primitively rugged charms of Laaa, a Neanderthal man bearing an uncanny resemblance to Ben Stiller’s Larry Daley. Robin Williams again plays American President Teddy Roosevelt, in one of his last film roles. Ricky Gervais, Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan return. Dan Stevens and Sir. Ben Kingsley also star in the funny and thrilling adventure.

Like Larry Daley in New York, Tilly in London has a responsible job: she is in charge of guarding the precious treasures at The British Museum. While Larry is head of the ‘Night Program’, which entails spending exciting hours with some of the most important leaders and fascinating figures in history, Tilly finds her job dull. No wonder it sometimes sends her to sleep. Tilly sits outside the museum, in a small guard shack, chatting on the phone and taking the occasional snooze. She longs for company and wishes she were armed with a weapon more intimidating than just a hammer. The night that Larry and Laaa visit the British Museum, Tilly encounters more adventure than she ever dreamed of, as well as a surprising romantic twist. Australian comedy sensation Rebel Wilson, best known for Bridesmaids and Pitch Perfect, joins the Museum ensemble as the irrepressible Tilly.

Wilson says, “Tilly has been sitting in her booth for three years, and she doesn’t get many customers at her gate. But on this particular night, she gets a lot of action. When Tilly sees Larry, she’s like, ‘Oh my God, another security guard!’ and she wants to have a chit chat. And when she feels deceived by him, Tilly goes on the attack with a hammer.”

Levy says, “Rebel is one of the funniest actors around. She saw an opportunity to come in and just murder it and, in a kind of surprise twist, plays a romantic storyline unlike we’ve seen Rebel do, and it’s a weird one. But it’s no less compelling for its strangeness.”

“From a comedian's point of view, the comedy is really cool. It’s a family movie so obviously there is all of the kids' toys and fun, but the comedy is really funny for anyone of any age and that's very hard to do. There are so many hilarious moments in the film and then on top of that there are all the amazing special effects and action. The storyline is great and the film is very moving and funny,” concludes Wilson of the film.

“Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” opens January 8 in cinemas nationwide from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.
