Many of our lawmakers seems to catch their knowledge and learning’s on the Western world, they studied from Harvard University and other known schools from the west. That’s why most of our laws and programs was being adopted from it. Yet when I met this man Atty. Levi Baligod, I see some light that gives me a glimpse of hope for our nation. This man talks about GMRC ‘ Good Manners and Right Conduct’ as one of the main teachings on Education and specially on how to be Patriotic , or loving our own country next to God.
Our neighboring country specially here in the Far East Asia like Japan, Malaysia, Singapore , China and so forth have this kind of traditional value learned from their parents and their oldies. This is enough for this country to achieved more by showing the right things to do on how they should live, earn , work teaching and serving everyone without any exclusion that comprises their nation as a whole.
He added, that by doing so we can make ourselves productive on what we supposed to do in our nation or on every region we belong to. For we know that we have rich natural resources that we should be protecting and should bring back the pattern where we became one of the top producing rice in Asia during the Marcos time both as a nation from present or recent era, Thus, this should be one of the income generating thing for our people per region in every fields and commodities of each cities.
Atty. Levi Baligod, being one of the known person who does not think twice of revealing things that are too complicated for known personalities that are being in the recent power or as of now that is still seated on power. Knowing his advocacy for the past and upcoming data's that his team is collecting through valid evidences of being a Whistle blower, truth advocate, and just doing this for the sake of our country and its entities. He concluded that by having this very simple yet fundamentals that should not be missed out in order for us to achieved and grow as a nation and as a country.

LIVERMARIN: According to a report by Euromonitor, Filipinos are the 3rd heaviest drinkers in the world. While many Pinoys may think of this as a distinction to be proud of, doctors would disagree. As, excessive alcohol consumption is one of the leading causes of liver disease.
While it is difficult to avoid alcohol as it is a huge part of our culture, we can protect our livers with the right supplement – LiverMarin. LiverMarin is a dietary supplement containing 250mg of Silymarin or Milk Thistle, and 100mg of Sodium Ascorbate. Milk Thistle’s active ingredient “flavonoids” break down into two main components, Silydianin and Silychristin, which together form Silymarin – a supplement found in LiverMarin that is known to have the potential to protect your liver by acting as an antioxidant, promoting the growth of new liver cells while preventing liver damage.
It also prevents cirrhosis, or scarring of the liver, which is an irreversible damage that causes you to have a weakened immune system. Regular intake of LiverMarin may also help in digesting fat that aids in the treatment of fatty livers, preventing and treating hepatitis A and B, managing SGPT and SGOT levels and insulin overproduction. However, this is not a medicinal drug and should not be used to treat the symptoms of any disease. It is recommended to take 1 capsule 3 times a day before meals, or as prescribed by your doctor. Treat your liver right, take LiverMarin every day. At SRP P9.00 a capsule, LiverMarin is an affordable way to protect your liver. LiverMarin is available at Mercury Drug and other leading drugstores nationwide.

Calata Corporation, one of the biggest agribusiness conglomerates in the country, is mounting a grand “Lechon Party” for the less privileged residents of Metro Manila in its bid to break the record for largest serving of roast pork. The Lechon Party is set to happen on November 8, 2015, 4:00 pm at the Liwasang Aurora, Quezon City Memorial Circle, Quezon City, in celebration of Calata Corporation’s 16th anniversary, and as an early Christmas gift to the less fortunate residents of the Metro.
More than just a celebratory feast, the event also aims to make history by hitting a Guinness World Record on the largest serving of roast pork. Currently, Mexico holds this record where they served 3,094.2 kilos of cochinita pibil, a popular roast pork dish in Yucatan region in 2010. Calata Corporation will try to top the record by serving 5,000 kilos of the country’s well-loved version of roast pork – the lechon.
“This year, we will celebrate our 16 successful years in the business by giving back to the community instead of having a lavish party. We also hope to make a momentous occasion for the Philippines by aspiring to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest serving of lechon’,” shares Joseph Calata, Chairman and CEO of Calata Corporation.
Calata Corporation is the largest retailer and distributor of top agrochemical brands, feeds, fertilizers, veterinary medicines and seeds throughout the country. Calata Corporation also owns and operates a chain of retail stores named AGRI, the largest retailer of the country’s choice brands such as AGRI Crop Protection, Heisenberg veterinary medicines, Thomson and Hine, as well as Ivansmith agrochemicals.
Calata Corporation’s “Lechon Party” reflects how much the company values achievement, success, gratitude and kinship. Indeed, it’s a great way to kick off the holiday season by sharing their blessings with the less privileged and gathering family and friends.

For many people, building a house may happen just once in a lifetime, and the term “dream house” really takes on a deep meaning for them. It’s a long-term investment, that’s why it’s important to ensure that the structure will really last and stay picturesque for a long time. Sound planning, proper construction procedures, and using the best building materials are a must.
When budget considerations come into the picture, some people err in sacrificing quality for cost, choosing the least priced building materials. They end up either knowingly getting cheap alternatives, or get tricked into buying fake building materials. For instance, a few would rather use cheap, substandard plywood, while others actually want to go for the more durable fiber cement boards but end up getting only imitation boards. In both cases, there are more disadvantages than benefits.
Cheap vs. Cost Efficient
Initially paying a small amount for building materials doesn’t necessarily give the consumers savings. When plywood or fake fiber cement boards are used for interior walls, ceilings, sidings, fascia, eaves, and flooring there can be recurring costs in terms of repair and replacements, as those products can be less durable, and can get damaged more easily.
In contrast, when the customer buys products that will last longer and perform better, though those may be pricier in the beginning, the customer will save more in the long run. Cost-efficient products like genuine HardieFlex® fiber cement boards by James Hardie doesn’t need constant repairs or replacement (when installed and maintained correctly) since they are more durable and resistant to moisture damage, termites, impact, and rotting.
Harmful vs health- and environment-friendly
Another not-so-well-known advantage of getting genuine fiber cement board is the benefit of using materials that will not pose a risk to the home dwellers nor to the environment. Plywood and fake fiber cement boards usually have high volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or contain asbestos, which can harm people's health as well as the environment.
Original HardieFlex® fiber cement boards have zero asbestos, low VOCs, and use sustainable raw materials, so they're good for both people and the ecology.
Fake HardieFlex® vs. genuine HardieFlex®
While people are already convinced about the advantages of using genuine HardieFlex®, there is still a chance they are not getting what they’re paying for, because there are imitation products in the market, and because not everyone knows how to differentiate the authentic from the imitation products.
James Hardie, pioneer innovator in the fiber cement board industry and maker of HardieFlex®, empowers its customers to avoid buying substandard building products.
Its latest initiative consists of educating the consumers on how to spot original HardieFlex® products, which the company made simple by incorporating two indicators. First, an original HardieFlex® has a back branding located at the back of each HardieFlex® sheet. The back branding indicates the product name, thickness, and batch number. The back branding also protects the consumers not just against fake fiber cement boards but against product defects as well.
Second, a green stripe located at the corner, left-side of each HardieFlex® sheet is a sure sign that it is a bona fide HardieFlex® but beware of imitation products doing the same thing.
With this initiative, James Hardie aims to decrease the number of persons buying and patronizing fake and low quality fiber cement boards. The market leader in the fiber cement industry encourages more people to avoid being fooled by the short-term benefits of fake and low quality fiber cement boards. Instead, consumers can choose items that offer true performance, cost-efficiency and sustainability.
To know more about James Hardie Philippines and its range of quality products and services, contact their technical and customer support hotline at (02) 895-5427 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This two-storey house situated at Ville De Soleil in Dasmarinas, Cavite includes genuine HardieFlex fiber cement boards to ensure a long lasting and cost-efficient quality without compromising design.

Aging is inevitable and with it comes many health complications, such as bone and joint degeneration. Your bones provide support for the body and give you shape and posture, while your joints make the skeleton flexible. If bones and joints are not properly taken care of, they can become weak and even break which may need surgery to heal. That is why it is vital that you take care of them now.
Dr. Nicky Montoya, president of MediCard Philippines, encourages everyone to take care of their bones and joints while they are still young to prevent fractures and bone diseases.
“As you age, your bones and joints become brittle and weak. This may lead to bone diseases such as osteoporosis. People with osteoporosis most often break bones in the wrist, spine, and hip. These fractures can be very painful and make it difficult to do the things you usually do every day. If you don’t do the best you can now to make your bones strong, you might get this disease when you are older,” says Dr. Montoya.
Here are some tips for good bone and joint health:
Watch your weight. To ensure strong bones and joints, you need to maintain a healthy body weight. Extra body weight creates strain on your joints, particularly the knee joints. Research has shown that with every pound gained, you put four times more stress on the knees, while losing weight helps prevent joint injury and reduces pressure on the knees, hips, and back. Shedding as little as 10 pounds of body weight can help reduce pain and improve circulation.
Exercise. Less movement means more stiffness in your joints. People who remain glued to a chair all day have a higher risk for joint pain. Weight-bearing exercises can help keep your bones healthy. High-impact activities such as dancing, jogging, and running are advisable but if you’re predisposed to weak bones, walking may be a better exercise for you.
Know your limits. Exercising is good for your body, but you have to make sure that you are not pushing yourself too hard. Certain exercise and activities might be too tough
for your joints to handle at first and workouts that have you bend forward may increase the risk of compressing a bone in your spine. Ask a trainer, physical therapist, or coach to help you modify exercises that cause joint pain. Listen to your body and go slow.
Stay hydrated. Drinking lots of water is one of the best ways to maintain joint health because proper hydration helps lubricate the joints. The joints’ synovial fluid, the liquid that allows the bones to glide over each other without friction, decreases as you age, and dehydration can cause the fluid to plummet rapidly thus causing bones to rub against each other.
Eat right. Healthy bones and joints stem from a diet that is rich in a range of minerals, proteins, and fats. The biggest cause of joint deterioration is the build up of free radicals, causing joints to swell and become painful. To prevent its effects, it is advisable to eat foods that are rich in antioxidants such as oranges, oil-rich nuts, and sardines. Aside from drinking milk and getting Vitamin D to ensure you have enough calcium for strong and healthy bones, bright-colored fruit and vegetables such as bananas, broccoli and peas are also recommended to help build and preserve bone mass.
If you have concerns about your bone and joint health, it’s best to talk to a doctor as soon as possible. MediCard has 12 free-standing clinics located in key cities nationwide that offer consultations, diagnostic tests and specialty medical services for young and adult patients. Go to the nearest MediCard clinic near you or visit www.medicardphils.com for more information.

Today’s marketing landscape has changed a lot from how it was decades ago. Professionals are now provided with technology that makes work easier for them and open new opportunities that were once not there. Still, this does not necessarily make things easier for today’s professionals. In fact, they still need to go the extra mile if they wish to succeed in their chosen field.
This is according to past Agora Award winner Blen Fernando who received the prestigious award for Marketing Management in 2009. The marketing powerhouse shares how she and her colleagues had to learn the ins and outs of the industry the hard way to be where she is now.
She muses, “It’s very different now because a lot of facilities are available, and opportunities are available to marketers. You don’t have to research like we did back then. Now, there’s a lot of technology to help you.”
Fernando further elaborates, “There are a also a lot of seminars, workshops, conferences and training programs that you can attend, which are the best practices. During my time, when you went to those conferences, they were all lecture-types. Now, there are a lot of practitioners who share their knowledge and experiences with the younger generation. They are very lucky.”
Fernando is one of the 22 past Agora Award winners who will be sharing their knowledge and expertise in marketing at the forthcoming Agora Circle Conference of the Philippine Marketing Association, which will be held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom on October 21, 2015.
The conference, a pre-event for the annual Agora Awards, will see past Agora winners discussing with conference participants their personal stories and what inspired them in creating their winning marketing strategies.
This year’s Agora Circle Conference follows the theme “Fifty Shades of Marketing Darker” and will be open to members of the academe, industry professionals, and even students who are interested to know more about the local marketing industry.
Fernando is presently Vice President for Marketing of Alaska Milk Corporation, where she has been working for 22 years. It was during her term that the corporation won the Agora Award for Marketing Company of the Year in 2013. Prior her work in Alaska, she worked as a marketing practitioner in food and non-food categories for multinational and local companies.
Fernando admitted that she declined offers to be nominated for the Agora Awards on two different occasions before consenting in 2008. After her nomination was filed with the Philippine Marketing Association, the prestigious body which hands out the awards to marketing professionals in the country, she completely forgot about the whole thing.
She could still remember how she wrote her own documentation for the awards. “It was just a simple what-did-you-do-in-your-past-year-kind of documentation. I started from the beginning of my career. They told me afterwards that it was the first time they received a document that was personally written by the nominee. It was really personalized. “
So what piece of advice does a professional like Fernando want to give those who are still starting their marketing journey?
For her, it’s all about integrity. While she agrees that marketing professionals now have an easier time with their work, she stresses the importance of building their own brand as a marketer with integrity.
“Even if you are so skilled and so good you have all the packaging for leadership, it is still your integrity of being a good marketing person and the integrity of being an individual that counts. Your name is your brand name. I still think that’s the best thing you can build together with your career.”
