Tom Hardy heads up a phenomenal cast along with actress Noomi Rapace, the late James Gandolfini and Matthias Shoenaerts in “The Drop,” a gripping tale of crime and passion where Bob (Hardy) works as a bartender at his cousin Marv’s (Gandolfini) bar and crosses paths with Nadia (Rapace) that unearths the depth of human frailties leading to an explosive, emotional turns never before bared.

Acclaimed director Michaël Roskam assembled an international cast for his American film debut, he says was not specifically looking for European actors to headline this film. “But when I found them, it made sense. New York is a city full of nomads. It’s a gateway to the rest of the world. There are so many nationalities represented here. Probably 40 percent of the people I met during location scouting spoke with an accent that wasn’t purely Brooklyn.”

Noomi Rapace, who plays Nadia, is in the process of building a major acting career in the U.S. after achieving enormous success in her native Sweden. “Noomi’s at a really exciting point in her career,” says Larocca. “We were incredibly lucky, because she approached us, saying, ‘I have to play Nadia.’ That kind of passion is what you want as a filmmaker.”

The script sparked Rapace’s initial eagerness and when she learned that Roskam and Hardy were attached, she pursued it even more ferociously. “After reading the script, I kept asking my manager what was happening with it,” the actress recalls. When I met with Michaël, I talked to him for about 10 hours.”

“I told him that I thought Nadia is a very beautiful, wounded soul and we started from that,” she continues. “She’s gone through a lot. It’s like she’s backed into a corner, living a quite protected life and sticking to the same routine. She and Bob are both quite lonely, but deep down they dream of meeting someone who understands.”

Nadia is a survivor, a tough but achingly vulnerable woman trying to stand her own. “Noomi invests a lot of herself in the character,” says Roskam. “We spent a great deal of time creating a whole life for Nadia that Noomi then lived every day. The character comes with a lot of baggage and Bob may not be the kind of man who can deal with that. You need to see a credible relationship between them and that took a lot of time and investment from the actors to create.”

Rapace had been watching Hardy’s career explode over the last few years and earmarked him as an actor to watch. “I’d been wanting to work with Tom for a while,” she says. “He’s a one-of-a-kind actor who always brought something to the table that I hadn’t thought about. That forced me to dig into things, to think and to be open. Each scene could go in any direction because he has a completely different take on it.”

For Hardy, it was a joy to come to work with Rapace. “Noomi is capable of doing anything she puts her mind to,” says the actor. “She’s unstoppable—full of courage, truth and heart. She’s incredibly supportive. If you want to put a team together, Noomi is the way to go. She keeps the flag flying when everyone else is tired and out of ideas.”

“The Drop” opens November 12 in cinemas nationwide from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

White Bird in A Blizzard_poster

Shailene Woodley, known for her notable performances in “The Descendants” with George Clooney and in blockbuster YA(young adult) movies such as “Divergent” and “The Fault In Our Stars” dares to explore in another dramatic feat in “White Bird In A Blizzard,” an adaptation from Laura Kasischke’s book and directed by Gregg Araki.

shiloh fernandez and shailene woodley WHITE BIRD IN A BLIZZARD

Widely hailed author Kasischke tells a mesmerizing story of youthful passion and loss of innocence in “White Bird In A Blizzard,” where Woodley plays the 17-year old central character, Kat Connors, whose life suddenly turns upside down on the disappearance of her mother. As Kat and her impassive father pick up the pieces of their daily lives, she finds herself curiously unaffected by her mother's absence. But in dreams that become too real to ignore, she's haunted by her mother's cries for help. Finally, she must act on her instinct that something violent and evil has occurred - a realization that brings Kat to a chilling discovery.

shailene woodley and shiloh fernandez WHITE BIRD IN A BLIZZARD

“The movie is about the mystery of trying to figure out where her mother went and what happened to her,” Woodley explains of the movie. In the movie, Woodley’s role entails going nude on some love scenes and the actress felt that, “I felt like I loved the character, and I felt like I loved the story, and I felt like nudity is a part of real life. If that happened to be part of the story in a really beautiful, grounded, honest way, then I would never say no to a project based on the fact that nudity is involved,” Shailene shared in recent interviews during the film’s premiere. The film also stars Eva Green, Thomas Jane, Christopher Meloni and Shiloh Fernandez.

“White Bird In A Blizzard” opens November 12 in cinemas nationwide.

In “Devil’s Pact,” the sequel to UK’s top thrilling movie “The Pact” that terrified audiences, June Abbott (played by Camilla Luddington of “Gery’s Anatomy”) is seen moving in to the house where the first incident of the Judas Killer was discovered. In this elevated sequel, we meet June, a woman whose carefully constructed life is beginning to unravel due to lucid nightmares so awful they disturb her waking life.

June works solo cleaning up grisly crime scenes —and is dating clean-cut young cop Daniel (Scott Michael Foster). Daniel is investigating a murder with his superior (Nicki Micheaux) when they’re barged in on by FBI Agent Ballard (Patrick Fischler), who had pursued the original killer and has been called in because this new slaying shows pointed similarities to the Judas Killer’s copycat.

Seemingly indifferent, Ballard immediately makes a foe of Daniel, then puts off June by informing her she’s possibly in danger — because she’s the daughter of one of the real Judas Killer’s victims. When her Mom is attacked, June has a premonition of it and tries to uncover the mystery that surrounds it.

Double Academy®-Award nominee designer Arthur Max collaborates with master filmmaker Ridley Scott for a grand scale production in the upcoming epic adventure “Exodus: Gods and Kings.”

Award-winning Max has been known for his works in “Gladiator” (2000) and “American Gangster” (2007). He was awarded a BAFTA for Best Production Design for Gladiator in 2000. As production designer his other credits include “G.I. Jane”, “Black Hawk Down,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Body of Lies,” “Robin Hood,” “Prometheus” and “The Counsellor” – all directed by Scott – “Se7en” and “Panic Room.”

Max and Ridley’s collaboration started on a cola commercial that Ridley’s company was making 25 years ago. “Ridley’s the best. He comes from the art department himself. He was a production designer before he directed, so he’s our best friend and he’s very interested in what we do,” Max enthuses.

Filmed in 3D, Scott’s “Exodus: Gods and Kings” will tell the story of Moses, abandoned by a desperate mother as a baby after the Egyptian rulers orders the murder of all boys born to slaves. The boy is found in the bulrushes by the Pharaoh’s daughter and raised in the royal household, where he grows up alongside Ramses, the future monarch. As a man, Moses has a vision and turns his back on his privileged life and leads his people, the Israelites, from enslavement. Scott’s film will feature ground-breaking special effects, including the plagues visited upon Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea. Filmed at Pinewood Studios in London and on location in Almeria, Spain and Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, “Exodus: Gods & Kings” is the reimagining of one of the greatest stories ever told by one of the best filmmakers working today.

Oscar winner Christian Bale leads a stellar cast as Moses with Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad”) as Joshua, a former slave who becomes his right hand man in the uprising. Joel Edgerton is Ramses, the ‘living God’ who sees Moses, raised as his brother, lead a rebellion against him. Sigourney Weaver, Sir Ben Kingsley, Joel Edgerton and John Turturro also star in the movie.

Featuring groundbreaking special effects, including the plagues that visited Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea, Arthur Max further shares five interesting facts while filming “Exodus: Gods and Kings,” read on to find out what they are:

1. His team planted 50 palm trees in one of the film’s locations, Almeria, Spain in place of the dead trees found before the filming started.

2. The set in Spain is so huge that it is even bigger than 20th Century Fox lot in Los Angeles.

3. The 400 frogs in the plague scenes were real (from UK) and they had to hire eight frog wranglers too.

4. No fake background, the movie was filmed in 360° environments with walk throughs and steady cameras.

5. The filmmakers experienced biblical wind in combination with the most amazing sunset skies that the visual effects department caught on photographs and on film.

Brickfire ,A Healthy Way to Cook Steaks

Brickfire is a healthy alternative of cooking white meat and red meat as well .If you want to be cautious in any food that you take this is one of the most safest yet tastiest steak or chops you can ever have  because it is cooked in an oldest way through brick fire.   Its flagship dishes are The Duke and the Cowgirl Annie, which are generous cuts of tender local beef classically seasoned with salt and pepper.

One of the unique difference with Brickfire is how the beef is cooked. Instead of grilling the meat, they are baked in a Brickfire oven, keeping the steaks and meat tender and sealing in the flavorful juices, which is key to that irresistible beefy taste often found lacking in thinly cut, grilled steaks.

Brickfire doesn’t just stop differentiating itself there. It takes further steps for a twist  into the diverse art of preparing steaks by offering two additional flavorful menu like the: Honey Mustard and Wasabi. The Honey Mustard steaks are made with the famous Filipino sweet alternative in mind instead of the traditional salt and pepper flavor.

It’s not just a first class taste but also a budget friendly price that would enable a minimum earner to buy and eat without much hurt to  the pocket.

LET'S BE COPS<br /> “Let’s Be Cops” trails down-on-luck best buddies Justin Miller (Damon Wayans, Jr.) and Ryan O’Malley (Jake Johnson) have been languishing since their school days ended. Justin toils at a videogame company, where his bosses prefer zombie antics instead of Justin’s recent game proposal that features real-life cops. Ryan, still reveling in his glory days as a college quarterback, bounces from job to job – his appearance in a herpes drug commercial was a career highlight – without success. Until a wrong turn at a masquerade party where they dressed as cops turn out to be their best night ever.

“The two lead characters have no money and their self-worth is gone,” says director/co-writer Luke Greenfield. “Then, all of a sudden, they are street heroes. Their fun masquerade escalates to the point where it starts getting dangerous and they mess with the wrong people.”

The first thing the filmmakers did after getting the production green light was cast the lead characters, Justin and Ryan. They chose two comic actors who were actually close pals.

During pre-production, Greenfield encouraged both actors to get some police training, but to avoid a boot camp-like, ultra-realistic experience. “I wanted them to know just enough about being police officers to get by, just like their characters,” says the director. “They went on a ride-along with police and learned how to fire a gun. Damon is pretty athletic and he became a very good shot. Jake went out with our police advisor and fired shotguns and pistols, while Rob Riggle, who is a former Marine, already knew how to handle weaponry.”

The actors spent a lot of time under the supervision of ace stunt coordinator Steven Ritzi (“Prisoners,” “12 Years a Slave”) to ensure that the film’s pratfalls and gunplay were as realistic – and/or funny – as possible. One of the film’s memorable action scenes sees Johnson and Wayans responding to a police call at a hardware store in the middle of the night. There, the faux cops Justin and Ryan have a run-in with a 350-pound Samoan burglar running amok – wearing nothing but a fierce grin.

“This guy is running at me butt naked,” says Wayans. “I take him down but he lands right on top of me and is climbing all over, putting his behind right in my face. Let me tell you, I took a long shower after that scene.”

But with all the crazy stunts and action, the most important component of the movie is the close relationship between Justin and Ryan, lifetime buddies who may bicker non-stop, but always have each other’s backs.

Wayans describes their characters as, “These guys fight like brothers, and then they make up like brothers. It is their friendship that stood out for me and made me want to do this movie. Luke Greenfield also saw that this film walked a fine line between comedy and action, and he was always great in blending the two while Jake and I ran around, crazily.”

“Let’s Be Cops” opens November 5 in theatres nationwide from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

One of Hollywood’s top lead actors, 50-year old Keanu Reeves is at the top of his game- physique and stamina even better to-date in the full-throttle action-packed film “John Wick” as he takes on the titular role of a retired assassin who hunts down his adversaries with the ruthlessness that made him a crime underworld legend.

After the sudden death of his beloved wife Helen (Bridget Moynahan), John Wick (Reeves) receives one last gift from her, a beagle puppy named Daisy, and a note imploring him not to forget how to love. But John’s mourning is interrupted when his 1969 Boss Mustang catches the eye of sadistic thug Iosef Tarasov (Alfie Allen). When John refuses to sell the car, Iosef and his henchmen break into his house and steal it, beating John unconscious and leaving Daisy dead. Unwittingly, they have just reawakened one of the most brutal assassins the underworld has ever seen.

John’s search for his stolen vehicle takes him to a side of New York City that tourists never see, a hyper-real, super-secret criminal community, where John Wick was once the baddest guy of all. After learning that his attacker is the only son of a former associate, vicious Russian crime boss Viggo Tarasov (Michael Nyqvist), John turns his attention to vengeance. As word spreads that the legendary hit man is after his son, Viggo offers a generous bounty to anyone who can bring John down. With a veritable army on his trail, John once again becomes the remorseless killing machine the underworld once feared, launching a pitched battle against Viggo and his soldiers that could mean the end of them both.

Given the character’s fabled career as an assassin, the filmmakers initially imagined an older actor in the role. “Instead, we decided to look for someone who is not literally older, but who has a seasoned history in the film world,” “Keanu Reeves is someone I’ve always wanted to work with.”

Reeves’ impeccable action pedigree, which includes the groundbreaking “Matrix” trilogy, two chapters of the blockbuster “Speed” franchise and the daredevil adventure “Point Break,” has justifiably earned him iconic status in the action world,” says producer Basil Iwanyk.

Reeves signed on to headline John Wick, working closely with the writer to refine the story. “Basil and Peter Lawson of Thunder Road brought the script to me with the idea that I would be a part of such a great collaboration,” the actor says. “We all agreed on the potential of the project. I love the role, but you want the whole story, the whole ensemble to come to life.”

Set to open this weekend (October 24-26) in the US, online entertainment website Screenrant picks “John Wick” to be number one at the box-office with extremely positive reviews from its early screenings. Jordan Huffman of The Guardian has this to say of the movie’s action scenes, “Veteran stuntmen and second unit directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, making their debut as feature directors, stage the action with a fierce clarity. John Wick kills his way through neon nightclubs, art deco-inspired hotel rooms and eerily lit churches. Unlike, say, the work of John Woo, there isn’t a reliance on slow-motion, which affords the blunt, direct to the head gun-fu – a “holy cow, did he just do that?” shock value. When you think you’ve seen John Wick twist in the most acrobatic way to blast the baddie sneaking up behind him, he’ll strike another pose that tops it.”

“John Wick” blasts into (local) theatres nationwide on October 30 (from Pioneer Films).

1231428 - FURY

Landing at number 1 at the box-office, "Fury"  led the U.S. box-office(this weekend, October 17) with $23.5 million bow.  The latest World War II action drama with  a star power cast including Brad Pitt,  Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jason Isaacs and Michael Pena is now the biggest hit of director David Ayer's career, acclaimed for his works in "End of Watch" and "Street Kings."

1231428 - FURY

"Fury" brings back one of the forgotten time periods which is the last gasp of the Nazi empire, with an American army that has been fighting for years and is on its last reserves of manpower.  Brad Pitt is the leader of a 5-man crew named Don "Wardaddy" Collier.

Over the course of these 24 fateful hours, that training will be tested as the five men of the Fury – Wardaddy, the commander; Boyd Swan, the gunner; Grady Travis, the loader; Trini Garcia, the driver; and Norman, the assistant driver – take on 300 enemy German troops in a desperate battle for survival.

1231428 - FURY

"The men are exhausted.  In World War II, you fought until you either won or died, or were grievously injured and got sent home.  The fanatical regime is collapsing, it’s a confusing environment where anyone can be the enemy – it’s incredibly taxing on the fighting man’s soul,” director Ayer explains.

Leading the men of the Fury is Don Collier – better known by his war name, Wardaddy.  The role is played by Brad Pitt.  “Wardaddy is representative of the backbone of the army – sergeants and NCOs really hold the army together,” Ayer says.  “He’s very no-nonsense, very practical and pragmatic – all he cares about is getting the mission done.”

But Ayer says that Wardaddy is also a man with a hidden past.  “He’s atoning for his history, through this incredible act of penance of fighting in this war and liberating Europe.  He has his own moral code, but it’s not your civilian moral code; it’s very reflective of the time.  He’s very stoic, but with life and humor and love for his men and a true hatred for the enemy.”

"Fury" opens October 22 in cinemas nationwide.

christian bale and joel edgerton EXODUS GODS AND KINGS

Ridley Scott revisits Exodus, one of the most pivotal and dramatic books in the Bible and reimagines the story of Moses in “Exodus: Gods and Kings” – filmed in 3D starring Christian Bale.

Bale as Moses frees the Israelites from the slavery of the Egyptian rulers and faces the formidable Pharaoh Ramses played by Joel Edgerton for his actions. As a man, Moses has a vision and turns his back on his privileged life and leads his people, the Israelites, from enslavement. Scott’s film will feature ground-breaking special effects, including the plagues visited upon Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea.

The movie features one of Moses’ extraordinary feat when he led the Israelites out of Egypt where the Red Sea parted to give way to the passage of the people.  Just how director Scott and his team made the  parting of the ocean itself – with the aid of some spectacular CGI effects – will be one of the many visual treats in store for the audience when the film is released this December 5 (in the Phils.).

Scott is indeed at the helm of a huge production in “Exodus: Gods and Kings” where they called for more than 1,000 crew working on sets on three soundstages and the back-lot at Pinewood Studios on the outskirts of London.  Moving to Southern Spain in  Almeria after filming in the UK, the production team spotted a perfect spot for filming the latter part of the movie – a vast area of one kilometre long and 1.5 kilometres wide was used to build a stunning set for an ancient Egyptian city, Pi-Ramses, complete with houses, shops, cafes and a spice market where the rugged landscape and vast swathes of deserted sandy beaches lies.

The script remains true to the Biblical story of Moses whilst using very latest tools available to a modern filmmaker to realise some of the more fantastical elements - abandoned by a desperate mother as a baby after the Egyptian rulers orders the murder of all boys born to slaves, he is found in the bulrushes by the Pharaoh’s daughter and raised in the royal household, where he grows up alongside Ramses, the future monarch. Ridley shared that  “I was staggered to discover what kind of man Moses was and where he’d come from. I had no idea he was the counter-point to Ramses. I didn’t know how close their relationship was and that they were raised like half-brothers, half-cousins if you like.”

“This story just lit a match for me,” says the director. “I thought, ‘Wow, this is an incredible, big story, which is actually the threshold, of the beginning of the rule book of civilisation. If you regard the Ten Commandments as such then it comes out of that.”

Outgunned and outnumbered, Brad Pitt leads a formidable cast in the latest non-stop action thriller “Fury” with his crew of soldiers including Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, Jon Bernthal, Jason Isaacs, and Scott Eastwood on a deadly mission behind enemy lines during World War II.

Pioneer Films releases “Fury’s” poster and trailer where we see Pitt take on the role of a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy who commands a Sherman tank with his crew and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

“Fury is not your grandfather’s war movie,” says producer Bill Block, “I don’t think we’ve seen the physical horror that the armored division went through. Outmanned and outgunned, they only won through true, raw fighting.”

“No one writes about men at their most vulnerable the way David does,” says producer John Lesher, who previously teamed with Ayer on his acclaimed film End of Watch. “In all of his films, I see some common themes: they are about brotherly love, friendship, fathers and sons, and some of these themes resonated quite heavily in this script.”

1231428 - FURYFury takes place in late-war Germany, 1945. “The war’s almost over and this dying elephant – the Nazi empire – is on its last legs,” writer and director David Ayer explains. “It’s a different world from your usual war movie, where we celebrate victorious campaigns like the invasion of the European continent, or D-Day, or the Battle of the Bulge, these famous battles that American troops have taken part in. One of the forgotten time periods is this last gasp of the Nazi empire, with an American army that has been fighting for years and is on its last reserves of manpower. The men are exhausted. In World War II, you fought until you either won or died, or were grievously injured and got sent home. Brickfire Steakhouse, Brings out the best Steak in the Old fashioned way

One of the first kind of cooking where meat , bread and cakes  are made perfect and gives the real taste of the food serve whether in the house or in the resto’s is a Brickfire where the right temperature,  slow and fast cooking be made depending on the kind of menu being prepared.

First and foremost, Brickfire is a budget-friendly steakhouse. Its flagship dishes are The Duke and the Cowgirl Annie, which are generous cuts of tender local beef classically seasoned with salt and pepper.

That is where Brickfire stops being your typical budget steakhouse and becomes so much more.

One of the biggest differences with Brickfire is how the beef is cooked. Instead of the steaks being grilled, they are baked in a Brickfire oven, keeping the steaks tender and sealing in the flavorful juices, which is key to that irresistible beefy taste often found lacking in thinly cut, grilled steaks.

Brickfire doesn’t just stop differentiating itself there. It takes further steps into the diverse art of preparing steaks by offering two additional playful flavors: Honey Mustard and Wasabi. The Honey Mustard steaks are made with the famous Filipino sweet tooth in mind and are a nice alternative to the traditional salt and pepper flavor.

brickburgers Aside from the steaks Brickfire does caters with those who love burgers and brings in Single and the Double Patty Bully burger that gives the 100% ground beef the best kind of cooking it may ever had.

LET'S BE COPS<br /> Lifetime buddies Justin and Ryan are struggling to make it big in their own chosen fields – Justin (Damon Wayans, Jr.) toiling at a videogame company while Ryan (Jake Johnson) still revels in his glory days as a college quarterback as he bounces from one job to another in “Let’s Be Cops.”

LET'S BE COPS<br /> But things suddenly changed when they attended a masquerade party dressed as cops, thinking it is a costume bash – after being laughed out of the black tie party, they notice something has changed as they walk down the streets of Hollywood: women swarm them, bad guys follow their every command and bartenders give them drinks on the house, all because they are mistaken for cops. For Ryan, this is the ultimate high, though the shy Justin is less enthusiastic at the prospect of real police busting them. Soon, Ryan has purchased a police car (off eBay!), lights and a radio scanner – and the boys are rolling up to real 911 calls.

LET'S BE COPS<br /> Wearing a police badge has also done wonders for Justin’s love life, as waitress Josie (Nina Dobrev) begins to warm up to him at a modest restaurant the guys frequent. Dobrev, who recently came to fame with her role in the hit series, “The Vampire Diaries” spreads her acting chops in this latest buddy cop comedy.

LET'S BE COPS<br /> One of the movie’s key roles to cast was that of the beautiful waitress Josie, a new employee at the guys’ hangout, Georgie’s Restaurant. “Josie dreams of being a makeup artist just like Justin dreams of being a videogame designer,” says co-writer and executive producer Nicholas Thomas. “But her history with men is not good. She calls herself a ‘douchebag magnet’ because of all the liars and cheaters who have gravitated towards her in the past. But once she sees Justin in his uniform, she thinks she has finally found her true hero.”

Nina Dobrev, who stars in the hit television series “The Vampire Diaries,” was looking to do a comedic role when she read the script for “Let’s Be Cops.” “The coolest part about doing a comedy is that you do a take as written and then have the freedom to improvise,” says Dobrev. “Jake and Damon play off each other, and whoever is with them better be able to roll with the punches. It was so liberating to work with them.”

“Nina is a fantastic actress, but who knew she could be so goofy,” says Jake Johnson. “She would surprise us by improvising these physical bits like tripping or falling or spilling something that just totally brought a fresh and vital twist to the scene.”

“Let’s Be Cops” opens November 5 in cinemas from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.
