Noel Cabangon launches “Akoy isang Mabuting Pilipino” Book

Isang napapanahong aklat upang maipaalala sa ating mga mamamayan sampu ng mga kakandidato sa ating bayan ang ating mga pangunahing dapat na tuparin at gawin upang maging Isang Mabuting Pilipino. Isang layunin na tunay na dakila at karapat dapat upang matutunan ng mga kabataan at paalalahanan ang higit sa lahat ay ang mga nakatatanda at nakaaangat sa ating lipunan na mga lider na maging isang halimbawa at maging isang magiting na mapagmahal sa ating bansa katulad ng ating dakilang Bayani lalong lalo na Si Gat Jose Rizal. Sana’y may isang tao pa sa ating herenasyon ang magkaroon ng tamang pananaw at layunin katulad ng kay Rizal.

Singer, song writer, advocate Noel Cabangon enumerates how one becomes a good Filipino in the book Ako’y Isang Mabuting Pilipino” (I Am A Good Filipino), produced by Lampara Books. The book, based on Noel’s hit song of the same title, also features the artworks of Jomike Tejido.

Ako’y Isang Mabuting Pilipino became a significant song during the last elections as the song challenged Filipinos to choose fulfill their duties as good citizens of the country. The songs list the various good deeds and values that have to be cultivated in order to become a truly good Filipino.

It is just timely that the book be launched now that we are about to elect, once again, a new set of public servants who will be instrumental in improving the welfare of the people;

Noel, over the years, have established himself as a staunch supporter of various advocacies. In fact, he has recently named as Peace Ambassador of the office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process. He also supports the various organization that promotes development and understanding in the society.

The beautiful words in Noel’s song was perfectly captured through images, by Jomike Tejido, an ward winning illustrator , writer whose body of work includes. Si Dindo Pundido (Golden Book Awards 2002) Ang Pambihirang Sombrero and The Foldabots Toy Books and Tagu-taguan (2010 Best Reads). He has also held exhibits in Manila and Singapore, where he established himself as one of the premiere artists specializing in acrylic painting on hand-woven mats.

Jomike’s Artwork in th book comprise his seventh solo exhibition.
