Holiday Cheer Glows at Victoria Sports Club’s Tree Lighting and Christmas Banchetto

The holiday season at Victoria Sports Tower officially kicked off with a stunning Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on December 1, 2024. EDSA, Quezon City, was adorned with brilliant lights, casting a festive glow that spread Christmas cheer along the busiest highway in Metro Manila.
Among the distinguished guests were Quezon City District 4 Councilor, Hon. Irene Belmonte, 
Barangay South Triangle Captain Beverly Gaw, guests, and employees from Victoria Sports Club. Dr. Mario A. Isic delivered an inspiring welcome address, emphasizing the importance of community, kindness, and unity during this time of the year.


“Tonight, we light not just this magnificent tree but also the hearts of everyone gathered here in celebration,” Dr. Isic remarked. “May this Christmas bring us closer, inspire acts of kindness, and fill our lives with joy and hope for the year ahead.”

The ceremony featured live performances that delighted the guests and filled the evening with festive cheer. Ms. Elha Nympha, the grand winner of Voice Kids Season 2, captivated the audience with her powerful renditions of popular songs, winning the hearts of everyone present and enhancing the joyful atmosphere. Our Lady of Fatima University Chorale also performed, enchanting the crowd with their beautiful harmonies and classic Christmas songs, which underscored the true spirit of the holiday season.

The “Banchetto sa Samar Ave.” is a partnership project between Victoria Sports Club and Barangay South Triangle, featuring an array of food stalls, traditional crafts, and seasonal delicacies. It aims to promote a lively shopping atmosphere while supporting the local economy. This initiative provides microentrepreneurs and small vendors from the South Triangle community with a valuable platform to exhibit their products.


Banchetto at Samar Avenue will be open on December 6-7 and December 13-22, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, located at Samar Avenue, Barangay South Triangle, Quezon City. This festive bazaar presents an excellent opportunity for families and friends to convene, shop, and immerse themselves in the holiday spirit while supporting a meaningful cause. Attendees are encouraged to explore unique gifts, savor delicious food, and indulge in seasonal treats.
